Story behind the song
The Message is the story of a man that receives an interstellar message, transmitted from a dying planet that portends bad things for much of the universe including Earth. He resists, but ultimately succumbs to act on this (ala Moses or Noah). He warns and gathers people and deals with the difficulties and uncertainties of interstellar travel. And once reaching the planet, massive adaptations and transformations occur.
Lyrics
We Finally Arrived W&M Ron Tintner We finally arrived And that's really great But I don't know that we should celebrate... too much We really survived But it's not the end Our journey's only just begun, it's time to start again This planet may be livable but it sure as hell's no Eden We've got to find a way to make it work 'Cause we sure as hell can't leave Yes we arrived. But we just began to realize the years ahead will be worse than we imagined The air is thin, the soil is bare The water's mostly ice And the creatures living down below Are prob'ly not too nice But we have arrived ... we finally arrived... barely alive But we finally arrived Begin again.. Begin again.. Begin again Start over, move on Instrumental Begin again.. Begin again.. Begin again Start over, move on... move on
