Story behind the song
You only know what you had once it's gone. Visited home after having been gone for over a year. Wanted to capture the emotions of homesickness and loss of direction in this song.
Lyrics
The Buffalo Dance Staring out at dim lights beaming up to the sky. we break through the clouds touching down from up high. My soul's emptiness it felt all year is no more. As I come home once again, to Buffalo. Buffalo. An undying love to an ailing town. with dreams of past glories one day to return somehow. pounding hearts fill summer nights, dancing something like this. Defiant and proud under July skies the squeaking of swings mixed with children's cries As we walk towards the bleachers in the sun. In Fireman's Park a moment's bliss until it's gone. And with you by my side, and the twinkle in your eyes Brace what may come, and pray it's alright. And I wonder if you believe what I said, in Buffalo.
